The Way To A Beautiful Lawn

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

Your neighbor has a greener grass, like what they say about the grass being greener on the other side of the fence, but that’s just fine. With your Simplicity mower, your neighbor may have the greener grass, but you have the more beautiful lawn hands down. This is because Simplicity mowers were designed to give you exactly that, the best looking lawn in the whole neighborhood. The same top quality work that professional landscapist are known to do. But the fact of the matter is you did all the work yourself, as a Simplicity mower is easy and comfortable enough to use. The way to a beautiful lawn, as the company suggests, is indeed easy to reach using a Simplicity mower.

If you buy a lawn mower without careful study and research, you may end up with a lawn mower you’ll regret buying. You should know that there are many lawn mower manufacturers today, each with their own models to sell you. However, even if you choose to buy a Simplicity mower because you trust the brand name a lot, you also need to know which model is right for your lawn. You have to consider the size and contour of your lawn because today, mowers are specifically designed for your lawn type. You also have to know what the uses for the mower are, may it be for general yard work only or for some heavy-duty lawn keeping purposes.

Simplicity Manufacturing Company has been making Simplicity mowers for decades now, in fact, the company was founded way back in 1922. With a long history of manufacturing behind them, you’re assured that they are building high-quality products. Since then, they now have various models of Simplicity mowers like riding mowers and walk-behind mowers. The company also offers mowers for different sizes of lawns, from the small-sized back or front-yard lawns to medium sized ones, to lawns that are acres in size. Also, a Simplicity mower can be used to create intricate and beautiful grass patterns on your lawns, even like those striped grass we see in major ballparks.

A Simplicity mower can be used in a variety of jobs, making its versatility virtually unparalleled. A Simplicity mower, unlike other lawn mowers, will find it easy to maneuver around lawns that have trees, shrubs, plants and other things. If you have lawns like that, you can check out the Coronet model, a compact and maneuverable Simplicity mower that has all the features and capabilities it needs to do its job. If you need to cut grasses in tight spaces, or for big lawns that need to be cut fast, zero-turn mowers are perfect Simplicity mowers for these needs. Look for the ZT3000 and 4000 models, the Axion, Citation, Cobalt, and Champion models if you want zero-turn Simplicity mowers.

Most people carefully choose a model from the Simplicity mower line because they consider this as an investment. If you still don’t know which Simplicity mower to choose, you can ask your local Simplicity dealer to give you advice on which mower will meet your needs. If you can’t find a Simplicity dealer in your vicinity, check out the company’s website for some tips on buying. By now, you should believe what I said about most men loving their lawn mowers, notably if that lawn mower is a Simplicity mower. They hold these lawn mowers with great admiration, believing they’re more than equipments for cutting grasses.

The Fastest Lawnmower In The World

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

It does 0-60 in less than five seconds; it’s capable of reaching 100mph and has spent years being developed by engineers in a wind tunnel. No it’s not a car, or even a bike, it’s the world’s fastest lawnmower. Don Wales captained ‘Project Runningblade’, a team attempting to smash the world record for the fastest lawnmower in the world.

Malcolm Campbell set the land speed record of 146.16mph back in 1924 with ‘Bluebird’ and now his grandson, Don Wales, is on a mission to beat the record set by Bob Cleveland in 2006. Cleveland hit just over 80.792mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah and Wales has been on a mission ever since. In May, the team hit 87.833mph on Pendine Sands, UK, an official new world record.

The team had sponsorship from a variety of places, namely lawnmower manufacturer Countax; they also raised money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Wales currently holds world land speed records for steam and electric powered cars but admitted the lawnmower attempt was is most daunting.

They used an off the peg model from Countax and made a few minor modifications, Guinness states that it is required to prove it could cut grass immediately before the record attempt for it to be valid. The team was worried the blades might catch in the ground at high speed so they were removed, and a roll cage was fitted.

The mowers has no gears and only ‘go’ and ‘stop’ pedals, mowers are too heavy and the complete opposite of aerodynamic so reaching high speeds is extremely difficult. Above 50mph it shook violently and there were concerns over the brakes which were only designed to stop it at speeds of 6pmh.

Officially, the fastest production lawnmower for sale is an industrial model called the ‘Dixie Chopper Xtreme’, designed to cut sports fields and large areas it has a 33hp engine and a top speed of 15mph. It can cut an entire football field in 10 minutes, but by comparison the Runningblade could do it in less than two minutes. It’s unlikely to go into production though as there is not much demand for high speed grass cutting.

It might be the fastest lawnmower in the world but it doesn’t have the ability to deal with lawn moss, for that you will need some decent lawn advice.

Are You Ready For A Lawn Tractor?

Friday, March 19th, 2010

Now you have moved to the country, you find yourself with new challenges. Not only that, but the job of taking care of it’s all yours.

When you now have three, 4 or perhaps 5 acres, the walk-behind mower that used to do a fine job on your smaller suburban lot just isn’t going to cut it. In hunting for an answer to this challenge, a rising number of country householders have turned to a tool that lawn upkeep executives have used for years : the highly maneuverable, highly productive zero-turn-radius mower. That’s why they are the single fastest growing gear segment in the outside power appliances industry. Many house owners see the zero-turn as a fast and good way to mow massive grasslands. While large commercial models offer lots of stability on hillsides, smaller home mowers are way more subject to drifting downhill when on an incline. Additionally, the purchase of a zero-turn mower is an investment in a pure cutting machine.

If you would like one machine that offers you the ability to blow snow, do blade work, pull a use cart, or perform a spread of other roles, then a lawn tractor or garden tractor is going to be a much better option. Thanks to resourceful design and engineering from John Deere, you do not have to sacrifice the agility and maneuverability of a zero-turn mower for the suppleness and multiple purpose functionality of a lawn tractor. You’ll be able to find four-wheel steer on a couple of models of Select Series Tractors.

These machines have been designed and built to perform a variety of light- and professional quality jobs for shoppers who have bigger properties of at least 7 acres with more landscape features and challenging terrain.

These tractors come in a selection of seventeen to twenty-seven hp, both air- and liquid-cooled engines, depending on the model. Other features include a peerless mixture of engine features and an exclusive hood design to deliver bigger dragging capability and longer engine life. Wide-gauge wheels provide improved functionality on coarse ground and a four-point mount is more proof against abuse and hard terrain.

Reviewer Weldon Duffy discusses some pieces you will really want to find out about Sales of John Deere Tractors which you can access via the main website here at John Deere’s Tractor Store support site.
