When I wanted to get rid of my old car I decided to sell it to one of my neighbours who I was quite friendly with. It was not my idea to sell my old car to my neighbour; in fact it was him who approached me to find out what I was doing with this car when he saw I had bought a new one.

Another friend of mine approached me and warned that this neighbour was spreading nasty rumours about me. He was telling everyone that would listen that I had cheated him out of a lot of money for a used car that was a piece of junk. However he denied it all when I approached him about it. Since then we have not spoken to each other at all and my poor wife is being ignored by his wife. So take my advice – do not sell a used car to anyone who you consider to be a friend.
